Introduction:

Acetyl hexapeptide-3 is a anti-wrinkle cosmetics and skin care ingredient that claims to reduce lines and wrinkles.  It is used in attempts to decrease the visible effects of aging by reducing the deep wrinkles and lines that occur around the forehead and eyes.

How doeas it work

It works by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters. When applied to the skin, it relaxes facial tension, which leads to the reduction in facial lines and wrinkles when used as directed. This resembles the effect of a Botox injection, which reduces facial tension and movement by literally paralyzing facial muscles.
